AZTI is a non-profit private foundation committed to the social and economic development of the marine environment and food sector working with the industry and public institutions. With more than 35 years of experience, AZTI, has 240 professional staff. The research and innovation centre is structured in two business divisions: the Marine Research and the Food Research Division. The latter works closely with the seafood industry offering integrated solutions to companies in the development of new products and construction of innovation plans, developing business opportunities for the food value chain agents, addressing the needs to achieve sustainable growth through products, and the development of technologies and tools to fulfil the food chain needs.
