WaSeaBi researcher selected as winner of 2021 European Young Lipid Scientist Award

We are proud to announce that the European Federation for the Science and Technology of Lipids (Euro Fed Lipid) has selected Haizhou Wu from Chalmers University of Technology, as the winner of the Young Lipid Science Award – 2021.

The prize is granted to applicants for distinguished research in the fields of lipid science and technology.

According to Euro Fed Lipid, Haizhou Wu, has been granted the prize based on his outstanding work on fundamental and applied aspects of lipid oxidation. His research is innovative and has a potential in food industry for handling problems due to lipid oxidation. 

Furthermore, the results are important in expanding our fundamental knowledge regarding interaction of lipids with proteins, phospholipids, free fatty acids and phenolic antioxidants.

 

Haizhou points out that some of the results achieved in the work related to WaSeaBi have contributed to award.
